Five civil society reps leave CSR centre

The five executive committee members left the Centre for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility in early February, citing a lack of funding and “government priority.” (…)

“We did not feel [it] had the support that it needed to have from the government of Canada, and so we decided at that point that it was time to move on,” said Catherine Coumans, a former executive committee member. She is also the research and Asia Pacific program co-ordinator at MiningWatch Canada. (…)
