Funding cuts to hurt classes for young immigrants

Offered by the Ottawa Chinese Community Services Centre, the class is one of the few tailored to newcomers between 19 and 30 years old. They often learn at a faster pace and can have specific needs that regular classes can’t accommodate. All of that will come to a halt on April 1, when the centre loses 20 per cent of its funding from Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
